Getaway at Playa Laiya

As mentioned in the previous post, I had a lovely day on the beach with friends last week.

Such a welcome break when my friends decided to take a short breather from the city. My friend JC and I were swamped with school work but we made sure that we took that trip with friends. Funny how we both intentionally left our laptops behind to ensure a fun and relaxing, albeit short, vacation.

I posted look photos in my last post and it seems that the resort we went to caught the attention of a whole lot of you. Pretty place, isn't it?

It was 2 years ago when we first visited Playa Laiya, courtesy of Jassie (the lady in purple). Since then, there has been so much progress in the resort's facilities. I loved it the last time I visited and I love the place even more now (though all this love may be due to the insane fun that's always had on these trips).

Another highlight of the trip was the trampoline! Believe it or not, it was a first for me to try bouncing around on that thing (though I've always wanted to try it) and I never realized how tiring it was! Yeah, it was nothing like that Community episode with Troy and Abed serenely jumping on the trampoline, it was reckless and exhilarating!

Expect my friends to look so amazingly awesome while on the trampoline. I, on the other hand, fail so well at looking like the graceful flying acrobats that my they are. Evidence of that here:

It was a great day with friends: swimming, eating, relaxing, and even building sand castles!

Yep, we totally need to do that again. We all deserve a break-- and a beautiful place with good friends is always a perfect solution.
