50 Shades of Ombre Hair at Azta Salon

Finally took the plunge.

Say hello to my Ombre'd hair!

All my life, my hair has been subject to all kinds of special torture from yours truly. I used to have it rebonded, straightened, coloured, and cut (every time I felt like it). At some point in time I was sporting curls and bangs at the same time (yes, it got that weird).

I still color my own hair, but I quit cutting it every time I get bored. I've been trying to grow my hair out since then.

This length I've accumulated so far has brought me nearer my dream of having mermaid hair (like this and this), only I'm not bold enough to have my hair dyed green and blue. Something less cotton-candy-cloud like for my hair, I'd imagine.

When Azta Salon invited me to try their Ombre hair treatment, I was delighted. Perfect, I thought.

It took us more than 5 hours and a lot of blowdrying in Azta Salon's SM San Lazaro branch. Miss July, the stylist, was more than helpful when I plopped down their chair clueless about what I actually wanted to do with my hair (and I have a lot of hair). Ate Mae, who handled my hair, was so nice even though I saw her struggling the first time she tried to comb through it (I never brush my hair, you see). She even gave me tips on how I could keep my hair healthy.

So what exactly was done to my tresses? Here it is, as it happened.

L-R from first row: Before photo, shampooed my hair, trimmed and dried it, then applied dye to the roots.

Applied dye to the rest of the upper half of my hair, rinse and dry, applied color to the lower half of my hair, and then the Lycopene Treatment (I highly suggest this, such a wonderful experience! Imagine getting a massage while the mentholated gunk is worked into your head/hair. Sooo relaxing.) which should help the hair recover from the coloring process' drying effects.

Rinse of the treatment, and start blowdrying!

Posted more photos here. What do you think?
(Also been going crazy with the graph/table photos. Do you like them?)

    1. Thank you, Winnie! It actually depends on hair length and hair color.

    1. Thank you so much, you are too kind. I think that the Lycopene treatment is separate. Don't worry though, they have so many discounts and promos. Last I heard there was a discount for their Nou nou Pak Treatment and a buy 1 take 1 promo for the Lycopene Treatment (that's if I'm not mistaken. Please do check their facebook first. ) :)

  4. Hi Miss Isabel! :> I admire your new Ombre'd hair so much and I would like to have mine too also at Azta. :) So I would like to know how much did you pay all in all(together with the Lycopene Treatment thingy) because I think we have the same length of hair. I'm just kind of like canvasing so that I will know how much money I should prepare. Hoping for a more detail explanation of the payment. :> Thanks and stay so pretty.

    1. Hello! Thank you so much! I'm glad my blog helped you decide. This colour treatment was sponsored by Azta.

This chart should help you: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150959208183718&set=a.446982543717.241508.43299713717&type=3&theater

I believe they classified my hair as long or extra long. I suggest you walk in and ask them about it since it also depends on hair type, etc. That way, you could get a proper price quote and even suggestions from the stylist. Don't worry, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. :)

  5. Hi Isabel! I would like to ask if they dyed your hair right away or if they bleached it first to achieve the light color. Since im scared to have my hair bleached but im thinking of having my hair ombred thats why i would like to know. Btw, your hair looks great!!!
