The Vikings Independence Day Feast

On June 12, the country celebrates Independence day. Of course, what comes with a holiday in the Filipino context would be a whole lot of feasting.

Choco Pili Tart; Vikings Buffet SM Megamall
Vikings Buffet, a name that has fastly become familiar to the Filipino foodie, invited me and a few blogger friends to sample their Independence day menu. Feast your eyes on this spread.

Wooden Spoon Katipunan

Like I mentioned earlier, I've been falling in love with small, hole-in-the-wall restaurants from up north lately and Wooden Spoon is one of those restaurants.

Last week, we were hungry and Anton was not making it easier as he kept on drawing food we wanted to eat on the Camille's Ipad.

Banapple Dining, Alabang Town Center

A while back I tried Banapple's cakes and I promised myself to try their food, too. Since then, I've dined in Banapple quite a few times (forgetting my camera therefore being unable to blog about it) and I find their food to be pretty good and affordable.

Hanayo Korean Restaurant, Katipunan

Hanayo's Bibimbap, double.
We usually spend the end of the weekend driving my brother and sister to their dorms. Last weekend, in between that drivem we decided to have dinner in Katipunan. My brother pointed us in the direction of Hanayo for Korean food.

Alcohol & Cupcakes: A match made in heaven!

It was a few weeks back when I tweeted about wanting alcoholic cupcakes. After a few replies and retweets (because who wouldn't want an alcoholic cupcake, right?), I stopped thinking about cupcakes to focus on less enjoyable, but more important things.

That was why I was so happy when a few days ago, my friends Bea and Karla dropped these babies over.

Teriyaki Boy, Blue Wave

Next to The Phantom of the Opera, the most pleasant surprise of last week  would be the meal we had at Teriyaki Boy.

Banapple, Alabang Town Center

Banapple's cake collection
Anton, my brother, goes to Ateneo. Every time we bring him to Katipunan, I see two Banapple's on  both sides of the street in such close proximity to each other. I had always wondered about this cake place, could it be that good that one Banapple didn't suffice for the area?
