DIY Layered Bracelets: Chain & Beads
I've been seeing so many friendship bracelet tutorials lately and arms stacked with bracelets, bracelets and more bracelets. So many cool bracelet tutorials online (like these) but most of them involving cords and ribbons. My bored sleepless self finally couldn't stand to wait around until I got the proper materials so I set to work.
Chains and beads were connected, et voila!
(watch from Roxy)
How do you like them? Any ideas on how to make more of these stackable bracelets? Share them here!

Conversations I have with my dogs
I just read about a Taiwanese photographer who takes portraits of dogs.
In an effort to spread awareness about animal care and responsible dog ownership, Tou Chih-kang photographs dogs from the animal shelter moments before they are put to sleep.
Perhaps the saddest part is that these dogs are usually victims of neglect, most of them abandoned by owners when the novelty of owning a dog wears off. Without adoptive families, these dogs stand no chance.
I ache when I read stories like this, and seeing the photographs do not help, either.
My chihuahua Benzene, on days I feel he feels neglected, looks at me with his clear eyes as if asking me what wrong he had done to receive the torture of inattention. I melt. Same as when Misty, the cheeky chihuahua, wags her tail at me and finally comes to rest in my arms before she falls asleep, or when the labrador Fiona comes to greet me as I get home. I melt, every single time.

When I was a little girl, I wanted a dog and my father would not let me have one. I wanted a dog so much, I started dragging a stuffed animal around on a string and fed him doggie biscuits from cut out calling cards. I wanted a dog so much I paraded this stuffed dog on a string in front of my father hoping to heaven that he reconsider his earlier decision of not letting me have one.
He finally gave in after years of begging and hundreds of cut out calling cards in the shape of Scooby Snacks.
A few years, countless chewed up rubber slippers, tons of lysol, and sacks and sacks of dog food later, the family owns 8 dogs: 5 chihuahuas, 2 beagles and a lab.

Roxy's Let the Sea Set You Free contest
A while back I had a really cool Roxy adventure at Nuvali. I had the good fortune of being invited to one of their events again, and I didn't think twice to attend.
Last Thursday, Roxy held an event at their only free standing store in Robinsons Ermita to announce the winner to their Let the Sea Set You Free contest.
Let the Sea Set You Free is a contest that invited girls from all over the world to send in their own video interpretation of what a Roxy girl is.
The Roxy girls.
And then we have my Roxy loot. Thank you Roxy for these wonderful items!
A black and gold watch and cool bag. I've been aching to wear the watch but I still have to have it adjusted to my size– I have abnormally small wrists.
So, I can't surf and sometimes the beach (more specifically beach water) scares be, but, whatever, I am a Roxy girl by heart.
Falling in love
A while back I found this text online and fell in love with what it said.
And now, a video adaptation.
This video is a school project we shot and edited. Music borrowed from Regina Spektor. Author of the text unknown. Mikey Aggabao as the girl.

Etude House: Precious Mineral BB Cream and Surprise Essence Concealer
Found myself in the overwhelmingly pink store that is Etude House the other week. The korean brand carries almost all of your beauty necessities– from eye shadow to nail polish, they have it all.
I decided to get myself a tube of their Precious Mineral BB Cream, a steal for around 700 php. I also got their Surprise concealer, super affordable at around 300 php.

Questions and Movement
How does one become ordinary? When do moments so magical turn into the mundane? These elusive, fleeting things we hold on to so tightly, do they escape us in our sleep? When we are not looking? When we are having our morning coffee or driving to work? Is the loss an inevitability we all choose to ignore?
What then do dreamers and romantics hope for, all those hours under the stars? What then of the fairytales and happily ever afters that we all dream of as little girls? What happens when you cease to believe in big words like destiny, and love, and faith?
In a world with filled with people following motions but devoid of direction, when will we realize that not all that glitters is gold?
