How to find your one true passion

Don't move, don't do anything. Don't try things out, dont attempt to learn things, or better yourself. Assume it will find you like brilliance sometimes stumbles upon the most unsuspecting host. Believe that you have a talent somewhere that just needs to be accidentally discovered.

Get frustrated at how you haven't figured out your hidden gift. At this point the only thing your good at is making eye contact with the wrong type of boys.

Find a semi important/geeky/useless project you're semi good at (like cross stitching or skipping rocks). Fear that this may be your God given talent, despair at how Mozart had music, Picasso had art and you have this (cross stitching or skipping rocks).

Resolve that you don't need a talent. Accept that you will be living a mediocre life. Work a 9-5 so-so job. Try to function without much love or care for anything.

Get tired of the world, get tired of life. Stop the vicious cycle of monotony and unfullfillment. Quit, leave. Decide you will not settle. Wonder what spirit possesed you to think that you could live life this way.

Find a new hobby/job/interest. Find you love it. Get better at it. Fail, do everything over. Get better/worse, decide it's not for you.

Find a new hobby/job/interest. Hate it completely. Shudder at the thought of staying with this forever. Leave immediately.

Find a new hobby/job/interest. Become undecided about it.

Find a new hobby/job/interest. Repeat previous steps until you find what you are looking for.

Keep trying. Know that it is out there. Laugh in the face of doubt and adversity.

Realize you may never find it but be thankful of the journey and the drive to seek out for it.

Insist on looking, never give up.

What happens when you're idle

Life isn't a beach. (Photo by Jun Rodriguez)
Time warps. It slows down into every useless minute that has passed which blends hour into hour. Time is irrelevant It is slow and it is endless.

You start praying that Peter realizes that that Olivia is his Olivia and that this is actually his real timeline, if not, you're just scrambling to watch all the previous Fringe episodes because dammit, you have to figure out how this whole dual universe thing works!

Cracked, Oddee, and Listverse become your automatic go to source for information.

You seriously consider playing that game your boyfriend has been crazy about, you are even curious about this while Diablo III thing.

You've been reading every tweet, every status update on your Facebook/Twitter timeline. You know where that girl you used to go to high school with ate lunch and that your ex just shaved his head.

Eating 5 cupcakes seem reasonable. Having then eaten said cupcakes, you go down your shame spiral and finish this self pitying process with time to watch 3 more Fringe episodes before dinner.

You agree to chaperon your sister when she practices her crazy maniacal driving. Scary, yes, it has become the most thrilling thing you've done in weeks.

You decide to get exercise and go jogging, give up when you realize that looking for the rubber shoes you last wore in '05 is too much of an effort.

9gag becomes boring, you've looked though the hot, trending, and vote pages. Playing with the iRage maker now.

3:00 in the afternoon, you're still in bed and you find yourself making a "What happens when you're idle" list...

That's cue for me to get up and start doing something productive.

If you're still reading this, you better get yo sorry as$ up, too.

DIY dip-dyed cut out shirts

I sleep in oversized white shirts. I don't even know where I got them, but I have tons of them, old, holey, presko white shirts. They're just so comfy!

The other week, I was seized by the summer fever (I know it's late but I'm due to go to the beach in a few days, my first break this summer!), so much so that I decided to DIY beach shirts/ cover ups.  I realized that these big, white shirts had more potential– why stop at sleeping garb?

Whipped out my scissors and hacked away at two oversized, white shirts. Side-boob baring ripped sandos, they are now. For the finishing touches, I tried my hand at dip-dying.

Not bad, eh?

Will post better photos of them getting worn when I get to the beach. :)

Cravings, Katipunan

Visited Cravings, Katipunan last week with the family. Very pretty, spacious place, isn't that big chandelier just pretty? I love that they had a soup and salad bar, but I wasn't sold on their service.

The food was okay, I liked my mom's Cordon Bleu order best. They had very pretty food, presentation was awesome.

Chicken Cordon Bleu for Nanay.

Chocken ala Chef Jonathan for brother.  Expect him to have the sweet ulams.

Baked Fish in Olive Oil. A health selection by Tatay.

My Sundays Best Roast Chicken Dinner. Yes, expect me to have heavy dinner portions during lunch time.

 Sister's Sizzling Chicken ala Pobre.

Have I made you hungry yet?

Cravings can be found along Katipunan, you can't miss it.
