Imagine having this pizza...
In a place with a breathtaking view like this.
Yes, this was the gem of a restaurant Brian found in Puerto Galera a while back. He insisted that we try it when we got there and we were not at all disappointed. Located at one of White Beach's far end and perched on a spot overlooking the ocean, Ciao Italia does not only serve great food, they offer a nice spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery by the beach.
The very first meal we had on the beach was a celebration of the fact that we were on vacation. We had a plate of pasta to ourselves each and a wonderful pizza.
Pizza Capricciossa (tomato, mozarella, spicy salami, mushroom, olives) at PHP380
Marinara at PHP 420 which Brian and I had. This dish was divine!
Puttanesca at PHP 280. Ryan's choice, and a good choice for those who love anchovies.
Fresh Fruit Shake, PHP 125 because fruitshakes and beaches go together.
As if that whole feast weren't enough, we went back the next day because, well, we can.
White Beach Pizza (tomato, mozarella, 4 kinds of cheese, salami, italian sausage) at PHP 420, the same pizza in the first photo.
Bolognese at PHP 320
Lasagne Alla Bolognese at PHP 320
The Lasagna and the Bolognese were okay, but I still highly recommend you go for their pizza and the oil based pastas. Brian and Ryan both like their bread, but I was never really a fan of baked bread.
Ciao Italia was definitely a great experience. A little pricey compared to the usual Galera food joint but the quality of the food is one that could rival Italian restaurants in Manila. This place will leave you feeling like this:
Yeah, Ryan was having a good time.
More on our Galera trip soon, and if you're on the island, Ciao Italia is a must.
